 The introductory course introduces the student to the VEX IQ structural pieces and how they are used to build a sturdy robot.  Students learn how to use VEX Code block programming language.  In the advanced course students learn about the various sensors available  to aid the robot in its movements.

The VEX VRC platform uses bolts and nut fasteners instead of the pin fasteners.  In the introductory course the students learn about the VRC building materials, the motors, gear ratios, and VEX Code programing.  In the advanced course students learn about sensors and how they work with the overall system.

This program is designed for students that want to participate in the VEX Robotics Competition.  They will review the 2025-2026 VEX Robotics competition manual,  brainstorm, proto-type, test and build a robot capable of participating in qualifying competitions.  To participate in the competitions some travel to the Toronto area may be  necessary.  Prior VEX experience is advised.
